Picnic

Hangin' out at the Birdman fishfry,

Pilin' on the pastry and pig,

Piercing the air with lingual phonetics

Simply a Friday night gig.

Into the Flow

Decieve and swindle,

Perfect and flawed,

Into the flowering flow,

Glide and drift,

Fluently.

War Bird

Contact the images retold;

Extract the pure,

Deduce the mystery,

Recieve the spirit.

Evo Lew Shun

Identity is lost,

Can't find it here or there,

Line drawings and birdmen,

Flutter in the wind.

Endurance

One step in front of the other
I take off the blinders,
Breathing deeply through my pores and my tired eyes,
Saving the last for you without reply,
I head off into the night.

Keeping a Secret

You can't know what Bosch knows,

from a different time and insanity,

But I know now what confused the mime,

and I aint sayin'

Lockness Birdman

Up from the deep

Outer reaches of the flurry.

Touching small pockets of memory

kept alive in the big white house.

Riding the Rail

Looking for the turnpike,

Shoulder droop rest,

Pointing the way,

Proud as the pope.

Hello and Goodbye

The more things change.

The more they stay the same,

Knowing this space,

It aint over till it's over.

Tai Chi Birdman

Holding the ball of chi,

Folding into the crouch,

Calmly letting yin

Slowly striking yang.

War Birds

A birds gotta do,

What a mans gotta do,

What a wars gotta do,

Your move.

Sitting 101

Breathing, paying attention,

Forging new habits,

Practicing beginners mind,

Shutting up.

The Signal

Although the world goes about it's business,

Birdman tries to tell them...

Truckin'

Walking, getting to a place,
An alternative to the fly,
Touching the pavement,
Destiny.

Town Hall Meeting

Intersect opposing welcomes,

Assemble dueling mixtures,

Identify and restore,

The soft rich balance of melody.

Lovers

Birdman finds himself in his mate,

Line and form create,

Soaked and planted satisfaction,

The furrowed brow of study.

Bird Monk

A friar, a brother, a cleric, a pilgrim,

To ponder, to muse, to meditate,

Past and future in the present,

To swell, to expand, to inflate.

Transformer

Standing, giving no ground

Changing, knowing not what,

Given current circumstances,

Your guess is as good.

Trade Winds

Twisting, curling and spiraling wind,

Create no flinch to the coming gale,

Bring it on!

On the Beach

A nasal "kwok" and a two noted nasal "ah ah",

During mating season you can find them kwoking in large numbers

Birdman Walks

The tame and elegant were formerly shot in large numbers,

Tiny hooks on the outer primary give the feather a rough feel,

They have adapted to man and now nest in the sides of man made excavations

These birds now nest in buildings and have concealed weopons

The Epic Journey

larger than life, on a grand scale, the sentinels sing a rhapsody in black and white

Bird Watching

...a few birds, such as the multi-colored Painted Bunting, do not fit into any simple color catagory...

Gestures

motion signal waves,

the glib gusher,

vested in meaning,

like glass ice

Dancing the Tango

agitants amuse as passion murders the boor,

savoring the flavor of the touch

Duckboy

to dip, immerse or plunge and avoid

dry as a bone, thirsty as rain

Duckboy moves on with age

Ready

ripe to move, ready for many,

prepared, available and handy

oven ready, steal away

now!

Pointing North

Heading south, looking back, falling down, standing up

Hear say, birdman, here say manbird

Looking for an altar ego

Manbird looks another way
